MFK - Trivia Time

“The sounds became the lyrics in MFK’s songs”

When Raghu Dixit was composing the songs for ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’, he used to record tracks with some really weird placeholder lyrics. This was due to the fact that he enjoys body percussions and he used to come up with some random sounds. And when he presented them to the producers, they wondered if these lovely pieces of gibberish could become the actual lyrics on the song. Everyone seemed to like the idea, and that’s how ‘Dheaon Dheaon’ became the main hook line for the song.

“Dhoom Bike makes a comeback with Tara in MFK”

Tara D’Souza, who plays hottie Malvika in ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’ is a biker chick. And she got a chance to ride the bike that was used in Dhoom. The bike makes its appearance in the stylishly shot stop-animation track ‘Har Saans Mein’. Initially, when the bike arrived on the sets, everyone was just too scared to even touch it as it was damn expensive and was a bike from Dhoom, but Tara, had no difficulty in riding the bike. She took it around for a quick spin. What’s more is that Tara got to give Nishant a ride too. Go check out this song.

“Saba Lost It When She Lost Her Hair”

Saba plays this really strong girl in the film, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’ but in real, she didn’t live up to her strong image in the film. Initially, she had knee-length hair and this role demanded she cut her hair. She was petrified when she heard about it. And when they got down to cutting it, she sobbed buckets. Finally, when she did open her eyes, she was pleasantly shocked. She really liked the makeover she got. And you will too. Check out this cute girl in the movie.

“A Library of Woes”

The cast and crew of ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’ had a great time shooting the film, but there was one person who was very upset with them. It was the librarian and it was because of a shot they had taken. Apparently, there was a shot inside the Symbiosis library where books had to fall off the shelves to create a dramatic effect. So the crew threw all the books down to get the shot right. And the shot came out right. But the librarian got mighty pissed. Apparently it had taken him two years to catalogue the books and arrange them. So the entire crew sat down and rearranged the book shelves. That was the last time the crew shot in the library.

“Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge Overcomes a Strike”

During the shoot of the rock song, ‘Chhoo Le’, in ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’, there was a requirement of over 2000 junior artistes to act as the crowd. But due to a last minute strike, some of the junior artistes decided to not be a part of it. Things started to look really bad until someone from the crew played the track loudly on the system as part of the sound test. Suddenly, people from nearby areas started dropping in on the set and checking out the song. In fact, so many people walked in that there was no need for junior artistes anymore. We had a live audience rocking to the song that introduces Nishant as Rahul in the film. Seriously, the music of the film, scored by Raghu Dixit is definitely something to definitely watch out for.

“Saquib got Prabal to Wear a Bikini”

Saqib, like his character in ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’ is a huge prankster. During the shooting of the film, Prabal’s character, Hacky had to imitate his superhot co-star Tara in a scene. But Saqib, the lead told Hacky he would have to wear a bikini. Hacky didn’t believe him because he thought Saqib was fooling around with him. But when the bikini arrived with a razor, he was in for the shock of his life. He got around to shaving his chest for the scene and landed on the set in a blue bikini. But when the director asked him why he wasn’t in costume, it hit him hard that it was all Saqib’s prank and he had been tricked into shaving his chest and wearing a bikini. The whole set cracked up and Prabal realised that he had been pwned. It also made for an epic pic. Check, check!

“Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge HOTTIE, Tara is a Biker Chick”

Tara D’Souza, who plays HOTTIE Malvika in the film, ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’ was supposed to be in a cab in one scene while she was talking to Preity over the phone. The cab was brought and everything was all set to for the shot when Tara casually mentioned to the director, Nupur that she had come to the shoot on her bike. Nupur went over and checked it out. It turned out to be a Royal Enfield Bullet. This gave her an idea and she decided to call all the men from the crew for an impromptu vote. A poll was taken on the spot with all the guys whether they thought it was hot to see a girl ride a bike. And not just any bike, this is a bullet we are talking about. The votes came in and Nupur sent the cab back. The entire shot was taken with Tara riding the bike. Talk about last minute improvisations paying off.

“Nishant Sizzles In Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge ”

Just being on the sets of ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’ would have been a dream for any man. It was an all-woman crew. From the director to the assistants to the DOP to the costume designer to the dialogue writer, they were all women. But it was the women who were having a great time checking out Nishant Dahiya on the sets. During the shooting of the song ‘Baatein Shuru’, the director suddenly wanted a shot of the boys in the swimming pool. And when she took off their clothes for the shot, the entire crew went silent. Not because they had to maintain silence, but because the all-girl crew was drooling all over Nishant. Catch Nishant sizzle on screen this August in ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’. We’re damn sure he’s going to be the next poster boy of Bollywood.

“Saqib didn’t want to make Fraaands with his father’s business”

Saqib Saleem, the lead from Mujhse Fraandship Karoge comes from Delhi has a pretty interesting story about how he got into the film business. This talented dude is from Delhi, where his dad runs a successful restaurant business called Salleel’s with almost 14 outlets. He was never the studious type, so he assisted his father for almost 8 months. Very soon, he got tired of all the food around him and realised he wanted to act. His dad told him to take a year off and give acting a serious chance. Saqib came over to Mumbai from Delhi and auditioned with YRF for almost 6 months. Meanwhile, he managed to do a few ads with Pepsi (the one with Ranbir), Tata Docomo, KFC, Sprite and Bar One. In fact, one day, when he was driving along with his dad, he passed by the YRF office, he randomly halted and told his dad that his first film would be a Yash Raj film for sure. And guess what, his dream came true and he started with ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’. Ironically, he plays a foodie in the film.
